As part of the DACH SC team you will integrate in a dynamic and multicultural team in a challenging environment.

Purpose of the job:

  • To challenge current costs and regional set-up for logistic operations
  • To realize an achievable cost improvement by selecting capable 3PL for the DACH region
  • To generate ideas of process improvement
  • To participate in a regional RFI/RFQ with a successful implementation

Way of working:

  • Prepare the data input for the RFQ phase with the respective sites to ensure consistency in the region
  • Identify the main cost drivers
  • Work with potential 3PL candidates to ensure timely returns of offers
  • organize site visits and Q&A sessions with 3PL
  • Compare potential inhouse operations with 3PL offers
  • Analyze data and benchmark with industry standards
  • Work closely with Procurement and Logistic Management on site

Responsibilities:

  • Design DACH RFQ template based on ALSTOMs global requirements for 8 sites in 2 waves
  • Analyse transaction data based on the ALSTOM Material flows (FL01-08)
  • Prepare an RFQ package for 3PL with necessary input requirements
  • Prepare and design possible additional requests i.e.packing, returnable management
  • Align supplier input data to meet ALSTOMs standards
  • Compare 3PL offers in order to prepare supplier selection and the award decision(s)

Required skills & competencies:

  • Bachelor / Master degree in Supplychain and/or Logistics
  • Industrial processes basic knowledge
  • Fluent in English, optionally skills in German
  • Good entrepreneurship and persistence
  • Very good agility and collaborative spirit
  • Dynamic, proactive and autonomous
