VIE Lean and Process Engineer (f/d/m) – 24 months

In this context, we are looking for a VIE as Lean and Process Engineer (f/m/d) based at our offices in Berlin / Germany for 24 months.

Reporting to the Head of Field Operation Onboard, you support the installation team through divers missions of improvement. Building on your past experiences, you will assist the team through
their process modification in order to bring more structure and efficiency.

Your tasks:

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by facilitating Kaizen workshops and other Lean methodologies.

  • Implement and monitor corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Participate in analyses of performance obstacles, lead analysis to solve issues and optimize operations.

  • Evaluate and analyze existing processes to identify improvement opportunities.

  • Consolidate and analyze the results of evaluations, prepare management reports and assist in defining transformation actions.

  • Develop and implement action plans to optimize processes and improve operational efficiency.

Your profile:

  • Educated to a Master’s degree with a specialization in Engineering or similar with a good industrial comprehension, you have a first experience ideally in an international industrial
    environment.

  • You are interested in railway products and continuous improvement processes.

  • Good communication skills, your diplomacy and tenacity, and your open-mindedness enable you to integrate well into a changing project environment.

  • Your autonomy, team spirit, analyze capacity and organizational skills are key assets for this position.

  • Good level of English and German is mandatory, French will be an asset.

  • Excellent MS Office skills.

  • Team player with the ability to work in an international environment and with different cultures.

  • Customer oriented mindset who is dedicated to respecting delivery deadlines.

Details of the Volunteers for International Experience (VIE) programme:
Assignments are open for citizens of European Union countries between 18 and 28 years, who have fulfilled the military service obligations of their country;
A VIE assignment will be in a country other than that of the applicant;
Set up by public sector statute in France, managed by the BusinessFrance organisation;
Assignment lasts from six to 24 months, renewable once within a cumulative limit of 24 months;
Compensation (non-taxable) linked to the cost of living index and set by BusinessFrance according to the destination country;
International social protection is extended to eligible parties; 2.5 days of holiday per month
