People Generalist (m/f/d)

This is a part-time position based in Berlin

This is a part-time (28 h/week) on site position based in our Berlin office.

Responsibilities:

  • Acting as a first point of contact for employee inquiries and document creation based on legal regulations
  • Administrative support for employees from administrative support for employees from contract creation and administration to dismissal
  • Managing, maintaining and checking HR data with the help of our HRIS tool (BambooHR) to ensure accuracy at all times
  • Overall precision, ensuring compliance with operational processes, procedures and policies in alignment with relevant laws and company regulations
  • Absence management and document creation with the help of the SV. net portal incl. work abroad requests and visa checks based on German regulations.
  • Creation and coordination of internal communication to support HR initiatives
  • Organization, support and further development of the on- and off-boarding processes
  • Collaboration in various People projects and digitalisation projects with internal stakeholders
  • Collaboration with external providers such as health insurances, payroll office and other consultants
  • Provide front-desk coverage when needed along with office management assistance including mail and courier services

Requirements:

  • Either completed studies in Human Resources, Business Administration or experience in the related field with a focus on HR or professional education such as completed apprenticeship
    within the HR field („Kaufmann/-frau für Personalwesen”; „Personaldienstleistungskaufmann/-frau” or similar)
  • First experience and enthusiasm in operational and generalist HR work
  • Excellent communication skills In German and English, both written and spoken – must have
  • Know-how in labor, payroll tax and social security law as well as payroll accounting desirable
  • The right attitude is crucial – be enthusiastic, proactive and solution-oriented
  • High degree of responsibility, accuracy, diligence and ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Structured, efficient, independent and autonomous work style
