About the team & the role:
We are looking for a Financial Analyst in the International Finance team, based in Dreilinden, Germany. The International Finance team manages eBay’s international markets (Italy, France,
Canada & Australia) financial planning. You will be part of a team that has the mission to ensure that the company’s spend is utilized in the most efficient way.
You will support all financial planning, forecasting and reporting for these international markets expenses such as Employee Cost, Direct Cost and other Operating Expenses.
What you will accomplish:
- Responsible for the monthly financial close, journal entries, accurate reporting of expenses, and managing the headcount targets, whilst assuring financial compliance.
- Financial planning and reporting (monthly forecasting, annual budgeting and strategic long-term planning)
- Understand accounting policies and accurate financial reporting/forecasting for operating expenses
- Provide monthly reports comparing actual trends against budget and forecast assumptions for each business team/ market
- Analyse financial data to identify trends and areas of potential risk
- Develop and maintain relationships with partners
- Can use various systems and tools for appropriate data gathering consolidation and analysis of financial data vital for management reporting.
- Accurately and timely prepare monthly management reports and assist with additional Ad Hoc reporting requirements by collaborating with cross-functional teams and analysing existing
data - Financial Analyst Cost Management supporting the month end close process, including booking accruals, cost centre management, and variance analysis
- Streamline processes and align with global counterparts
What you will bring :
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, or related quantitative fields (Economics, Math, Statistics, or Engineering); Master’s degree a bonus
- 1+ years of work experience (including internships), with emphasis on financial planning and/or cost management
- Ability to work autonomously with business teams, highly motivated with a keen attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with internal and external teams globally
- Self-starter who shows the desire to learn and has great intellectual curiosity, as well as ability to prioritize tasks, manage time and to deliver quality results within tight
timelines - Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and other financial software
