The ID will be responsible for

  • Developing productive, collegial relationships with course instructors, and supporting instructors as they revise course materials, investigate new teaching strategies, use educational
    technology, and navigate departmental policies.
  • Supporting the delivery of mostly online courses during the term. Duties include posting of sync session lecture videos, supporting guest lecturers.
  • Collaborating and aligning with stakeholders and leadership to prioritize tasks and gather/ apply acceptance criteria. Gathering and applying feedback to meet the needs of the team.
  • Taking ownership of the course development and revision process and utilizing project management skills to support faculty through ideation to launch of new and revised courses.
  • Creating online content for courses, workshops, professional development, and other online events – including educational technology use, interactive online assessments, multimedia
    content, and online meeting platforms.
  • Collaborating with program staff on processes, policies, and best practices related to online teaching and learning, course development, and student engagement.
  • Researching relevant educational technology and developing best practices for tool use.
  • Building and revising course sites in Canvas LMS and providing ongoing support and maintenance of those sites.
  • Contributing to evaluation activities that assess course and program outcomes, including the overall student experience and community; and interpreting evaluation data for new and
    existing programs.
  • Contributing to course quality assurance efforts and accreditation/compliance activities as they arise, such as RSI requirements, accessibility standards, intellectual property
    management, etc.
  • Maintaining public-facing information, such as program websites and handbooks, and assisting with marketing and publicizing the programs.
  • Coordinating a handful of online info sessions, seminars, workshops, new student orientation and special events per year
  • Serving as the liaison between the program and central online working groups, contributing to the community of instructional design and online learning professionals at Penn and bringing
    back relevant ideas and practices.

Targeted Pay Range: $61,000-$64,000

This Targeted Pay Range is only applicable to this job posting. All salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to
the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.

This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule with a work week divided between working onsite and working remotely.

$43,919.00 – $63,000.00 Annual Rate
Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market
factors and grade profile.
