Your tasks:

As a (Senior/Lead) Specialist (f/m/d) in the PD Science Group, you will develop solutions for the challenging problems of our public sector clients. You will play a key role in the
implementation of demanding (software) projects in the field of data science and machine learning and, as a data expert, work closely with product and development teams.
Your tasks include:
  • You design, develop and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes and are responsible for the design and management of data models, data structures and databases
  • You research and integrate new technologies and tools in the field of data management
  • You will continuously develop your technical and professional skills in new technologies and their application in administration
  • In addition, you will support the development of technical expertise within the Science Group

Your profile:

For this varied position you have:
  • A successfully completed academic university degree or a doctorate, preferably in a STEM field
  • Practical experience in data engineering software projects with a focus on agile projects, especially in the area of ​​data science and AI as well as in the cloud environment
  • Knowledge of database development (SQL/NoSQL), data model creation, data analysis, and pipeline development (e.g., with Python or R)
  • Knowledge of data visualization (e.g. with Tableau, Power BI or Apache Superset)
  • Experience in automating data pipelines and processes (e.g. with KNIME, Argo and similar)
  • Familiar with version control (Git), CI/CD and ideally big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka)
  • Knowledge of software architecture, usage and orchestration of container environments, especially Docker, Kubernetes and API frameworks
  • Interest in the public sector and its current challenges
  • a team-oriented and independent way of working
  • Enjoyment of open communication, good knowledge of German and the ability to communicate complex topics appropriately
