As a true generalist, you’ll be at the helm of our German operations, driving performance across multiple critical areas. This isn’t just about managing; it’s about innovating and
executing to propel FREENOW’s growth.

  • P&L Management & Commercial Acumen:
    • Own planning and delivery of P&L and KPI targets, ensuring financial goals are met and opportunities for revenue growth are seized.
    • Be a strategic visionary, identifying and developing new revenue streams from concept to realisation. (Growth pillars such as Medical, Dispatch solutions)
    • Implement robust operational planning and financial control systems, monitoring results against plans and budgets to take swift action when necessary.
    • Collaborate with central Finance teams to ensure delivery of P&L objectives.
    • Work with the Marketplace Performance team to steer supply and demand, leveraging understanding of unit economics to optimise the dynamic marketplace.
  • Operational Excellence & Growth:
    • Develop, deliver, and evaluate value propositions that resonate with drivers, passengers, and businesses, continually enhancing their FREENOW experience.
    • Optimise daily operations, including balancing supply and demand, ensuring customer service, fostering driver relationships, and leading business sales and marketing initiatives.
    • Cultivate relationships with key external stakeholders, representing FREENOW with government bodies, regulators, trade organisations, driver associations, and media.
    • Represent the German market within central functions (operations, marketing, product, and tech), influencing roadmaps and priorities to meet local needs.
    • Monitor key business metrics, identifying and pursuing new growth opportunities.
    • Represent FREENOW in Germany, engaging with the press, regulators, and government to lobby for the ride-hailing industry and FREENOW’s role.
    • Champion talent development and retention within the team, building a high-performing group.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

We’re looking for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and possesses a unique blend of strategic thinking, operational savvy, and a keen sales instinct.

  • Proven experience leading senior teams with direct P&L ownership.
  • Confident and engaging presence with strong social and interpersonal skills, comfortable communicating with drivers, politicians, and commercial partners.
  • Analytical mindset focused on continuous improvement, leveraging technology (including AI) for operational excellence.
  • Strong affinity for and extensive experience in sales, marketing, and commercial negotiations, with a track record of driving business growth.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable navigating ambiguity and uncertainty in scaling a technology marketplace.
  • Deep understanding of technology-driven marketplaces.
  • Extensive network within German market segments preferred.
  • Native or near-native (C2) German level and at least a C1 level in English
